PFD Garment Selection

We can supply PFD garments or use PFD's of your choice.

Our experience in the industry has taught us that finding quality PFD (Prepared For Dye) garments can sometimes be a real challenge. For your convenience, we offer several options based on your requirements.

If you are looking for the lowest cost T-shirt:

We suggest purchasing PFD's from a local supplier, shipping to our location for dyeing, printing and finishing. Please review "Selecting PFD Guidelines" to assist with your selection.

(Please note that The Dye House is not responsible for defective garments. They will be returned to the customer with the production order. It is imperative that garments be tested for quality prior to production dyeing.)

If you can't find a style or are looking for a higher quality T-shirt or sweatshirt and want to minimize *fall-out rates:

We can supply several styles of 100% cotton PFD garments including:

*Note: FALL-OUT RATES - To minimize fall-out rates, a high quality PFD is required!

If you can't find the style or fabric you are looking for:

Contract a reputable PFD manufacturer to create garments to your specs. Review the "Selecting PFD Components Guidelines" and ensure that all garments are tested prior to production!

Color Matching

We can match your colors in our sample lab.

It's as simple as… 1 - 2 - 3.

1.	Send us the Pantone® # or a color swatch and a sample of the actual fabric that you will be dyeing.
2.	We will develop a formula to replicate the color and texture on your fabric and send you a sample.
3.	Production dyeing can begin once we receive written approval.

Selecting Dyes

There are several different types of dye available for garment dyeing including reactives, pigments, and direct dyes. Dyes are selected based on the fabric (or combination of fabrics) to be dyed, the garment type, and the desired color, consistency, texture, and feel of the finished garments.

The type of dye selected can also impact the shade range and light fastness of the finished garment. Therefore, it is important to consider the function of the finished garment. For example, light fastness would be an important consideration for summer tanks to be worn in the sun consistently, whereas, light fastness may not be an issue for under garments.

Printing

We can apply your artwork in our print shop.

The Dye House has an onsite art and print shop equipped with several multi-color screen printing machines capable of handling most any type of job.

Screen Printing:

•	We can apply your artwork to your choice of garments using 6 spot colors or 4 color process.
•	We have a multitude of specialty inks/effects such as puff, suede, discharge prints, metallic, neon, 3-M reflective, "glow-in-the-dark", foils and more.

Heat Transfers:

•	Thousands of stock heat transfers to choose from.
•	We can create custom heat transfers.

We accept electronic or hard copies of artwork.
Artwork charges will apply for all touchups and alterations, or prepress work.

Garment Finishing

We can label and tag your garments in our finishing area plus deliver them to your distributor or retailer.

•	We can have your garments ready for the retailers' shelves.
